Air conditioning that survives a Memphis July.
A system that cools the house, not just the thermostat. Right-sized equipment, sealed ducts, and honest answers about repair versus replace.
Memphis humidity is the real enemy. A unit that runs constantly and still leaves the house clammy is usually a sizing or duct problem, not a refrigerant problem. We diagnose first and only replace a compressor when the diagnosis says so.

Cooling problems have four common causes.
-
Sizing that matches the house
A system too large cycles constantly, drops humidity badly and wears out faster. We size for the actual square footage, the sun exposure and the attic condition — not a rule of thumb.
-
Ducts that do not leak
In older homes the ductwork in the attic or crawlspace is often the reason a new system underperforms. We seal and insulate what is there rather than selling you a system that cannot deliver the air.
-
Repair when repair is right
Not every failed unit needs replacing. If the compressor and coil are sound, a repair at the right point in the system life is the honest answer and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
-
Ductless mini-splits
For additions, older homes without ductwork, and rooms that never cool. A multi-zone system lets you condition the parts of the house you actually use instead of the whole envelope.
From the call to cooled rooms.
-
Describe or show the problem
Tell us whether it is not cooling, not blowing, leaking, cycling constantly, or making a noise. Each points somewhere different.
-
Diagnostic visit
We check the unit, the duct run, the filter and the electrical. You get the finding and the cost of fixing it before anything is replaced.
-
Written options
If replacement is the answer you get the equipment, the work and the timeline in writing. If repair is the answer we say so.
-
Install and verify
New systems get a full startup, a refrigerant charge check and a walkthrough showing you how to change the filter.
Repair or replace — the honest version.
We do not install equipment we would not put in our own house, and we do not quote a replacement when a repair will do. If we think you are being steered toward a new unit by someone else, ask us and we will give you a second opinion.
What Memphis homeowners ask about AC.
How often should I replace my AC?
Most properly sized systems last into the low teens in years. The ones that fail early are usually undersized, over-refrigeranted or starved for airflow. We will tell you which category yours is in.
Is a bigger unit always better?
No, and this is the most common mistake we see. An oversized system cycles on and off, fails to pull the humidity out of the air and runs up the power bill. Correct sizing matters more than capacity.
Do you work on mini-splits?
Yes — single-zone and multi-zone ductless systems, including outdoor units, line sets and new interior heads in remodels.
Can you service a system you did not install?
Yes. Bring us in before you sign a replacement quote and we will give you a straight assessment of what you already have.
What is the cheapest way to improve my cooling?
Often not buying equipment. A clean filter, cleared condenser coil, and sealed return ducts frequently fix the majority of the complaints we get. We will tell you when the answer is free.
